This weekend I had some very good luck, very sad news, and a couple of more mundane disruptions and sudden changes of plan. I've had all the thoughts and feelings one after the other, then they circled round again with friends, then all at the same time, and it's exhausting. Starting to settle now.

The duvet has been washed, dried, aired and grounded.

I thought it was too hot for lotion, but it turns out I do need lotion. I'm now a heady mix of coconut, peppermint, and Sudocrem.

This seems an excellent weekend to watch Agatha All Along for seven hours.

Difficult morning with lots of alerts and complications. Tumble dryer has not recovered after being overloaded and overheating, I discover after washing two loads of bedding. Lots of stairs for the upstairs room, and double bedding is much harder to manage than single.

I finished cleaning the upstairs room and bed! But am too tired to make the bed to sleep in tonight :-) Next week I can start to move my things upstairs.

Today I have been mostly cleaning bathrooms (three of them). Since the short haircut my plug is always clean! And I disassembled a lodger's basin plug to remove a blockage that was stopping it draining, but a bit of the mechanism fell down the pipe... I have options but not for today.

Headed off around 5pm, efficient move and left a nice clean room! I'll give it another go over and start moving my things up in the next few days.

A couple of years ago I fell and skinned my knee. I thought it had fully healed, but in the sun there's an archipelago of blotches that don't tan.

Was feeling a bit queasy but 90 minutes in a dark room with a frozen water bottle has helped.

Ah, this is the 10th anniversary of the day Film Club ditched the difficult traumatic movie we had selected, and went for What We Do In The Shadows.

Busy morning: groceries and library at 9am, lodger Z has a move out date of July 1st "That's just ten days!" "Nine!" and I've cleared and swept the back half of the garage for him to start moving boxes into. (Easy clearing, mostly empty boxes and things for a tip run.) Shady breezy garden now.

I missed the Prime Minister announcement because I was too busy posting electricity charts.

Today's Technical Problem I Didn't Ask For: Electricity. I check the smart meter twice a week to monitor the daily usage. From June 11 it's 5-8 kWh/day more than usual for sunny days and solar panels. I start trying to troubleshoot/understand. Here's the solar monitoring app data for June 10.

Going through 2008-2016 data analyst job notes and putting handfuls of paper into the recycling. I'm keeping a list of training courses and dates in case a job application ever insists on them, but I've basically had a factory reset since then and would need to retrain. Sad, but less paper clutter.
