Anyway, I also booked us a holiday. Another one in Greece, a week in September

Today I cooked a chicken and broccoli pasta bake in the morning, went to the dentist in the afternoon, then this evening we went to Andy’s dad’s where we all ate the pasta bake. It was lovely (they said) it had tarragon in it which gave a lovely aniseed edge but not too strong. No pics, we ate it.

You wouldn’t think it was so hard to find a holiday *sigh* #firstworldproblems

We’ve had a discovery day at the college today so it’s been lovely meeting some of the new students who will be starting in September. And tomorrow evening I’m helping out at an award ceremony. Followed by a long weekend of rock and metal at a festival and not being back in work until Tuesday 🥳

It’s 22° in the living room this morning. This time last week it was around 33°. So much better today.

What an awful night of not sleeping.

Had training the last 2 days, interspersed with inputting progression enrolment forms on the college system, and topped off by a tedious 2 and a half hour team meeting that could have been half an hour if the big gobbed colleague I wanted to slap this morning would only shut the fuck up. Knackered

Yesterday would have been my mum’s birthday. With travelling up from Cardiff in the morning and then being busy when we got home, I wasn’t thinking about it much, but last night and this morning I’ve been thinking how different things could have, should have, been 💔

Because Andy has bad sciatica at the moment, I had to do all the driving to Cardiff and back over the last two days. Usually we share driving. So I did 8 hours driving. On the way down we went through the middle of Wales. Some very twisty narrow roads through gorgeous scenery. I enjoyed it.

The new washing machine will allegedly be delivered between 7.30 and 11.30 am tomorrow. I better not be up and ready early on my day off only for the bloody thing not to be delivered until the end of that time slot. But we all know that’s what’s going to happen don’t we kids.

What an awful night of rubbish sleep. I’m going to be exhausted all week aren’t I?

It was lovely in work, the air con is spot on. Now I’m home I’m melting into a puddle of goo 🥵

The bloody washer dryer has given up the ghost. Not what we need when we are surrounded by holiday washing. Never mind the expense. Anyway, a new one is being delivered on Wednesday, my day off work. Sigh
