As much as I said you don’t need to turn your master into a sausage waveform sometimes you do gotta slam the 404 compressor on a beat and there’s really no set rules

I like to put a blank pad in the same mute group as my sample chops to do mute outs. It can be easier to move around the midi note than mess with how the automation is drawn. At least on MPC that’s generally the method
