What a beautiful city Riga is! Really enjoyed our couple of days there 🇱🇻

Gone over to Riga for a short city break with my sister which also coincided with escaping the awful heat of England, so currently feeling rather pleasant in 15 degrees in the Old Town

On this day in 1956, the 1st edition of the #Eurovision Song Contest was held in 🇨🇭 Lugano, Switzerland. 7 countries 🇧🇪 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇮🇹 🇱🇺 🇨🇭 🇳🇱 competed each represented by two entries. Lys Assia took victory with "Refrain", the results of the other 13 entries are not known.

Honestly one of my biggest shocks of yesterday was seeing Poland do so well. No hate to Alicja at all but I’ve never connected to the song or performance at all

I’m so so so pleased for Bulgaria, but I hate that once AGAIN everyone is feeling more relieved about the winner rather than being able to properly celebrate them. Something needs to be done, we can’t have another year of this #Eurovision

I took my 2 year old to the Science & Media Museum in Bradford to check out the #Eurovision exhibition! It was actually really cool and interactive. We enjoyed it 🎤
