Excited to go to the DAM today!Walking up to it is bit more daunting then the DMCA. The scale is a little hard to comprehend and it’s much more apparent than the DMCA. #ConArtInSitu

5. I often refer to myself in the third person in critiques to avoid being too direct, which protects me from feeling “wrong” or "inexperienced" but weakens my subjectivity. But by using words like "I" or "me" in my critiques I can take ownership of my opinions. #ConArtInSitu

1. Collins use of a large print of Antigone's text partially erased out with her own saliva made my reading of the art feel more meaningful. The few highlighted a few key words with the surrounding ones scratch out were already powerful but the human nature of the medium added depth. #ConArtInSitu

1. "Contemporary" is anything that is associated with modern times and reflects the issues, content, and reality of today. This can be defined by whom ever is observing the artwork, and everyone can have a different perspective of what "contemporary" means. #ConArtInSitu

Sammy Seung’s work is extremely compelling. I appreciate the use of a tree like medium to create an abstract human. She then layers in important photographs of memories throughout. To me it emphasizes her complex relationship with her family tree. #ConArtInSitu
