Update: Surgery went well and the kidney is even starting to produce some urine! Still waiting on him to get back to his room, but things seem to be going great so far!

So yesterday my son got activated for the transplant list. This morning at 5:30am, he got the call that a kidney was available. So now we're at the hospital and if things go well he'll have a new kidney by then end of the day!!! Any good vibes would be appreciated!

Update: We're finally home from the ER. Looks like a really bad sprain and an avulsion fracture. Sent him home in a boot and said to follow up with his PCP. Thankfully we had crutches at home from my ankle incident, so he's at least able to get around. Stairs tonight are gonna be a bitch, though.

Let me just say that I grew up in Oklahoma. I graduated from high school in 1994. We had, Oklahoma, US, and world history classes. Not once was Tulsa mentioned. I didn't even learn about it until I was an adult. Not sure if things have changed in school there now, but I hope so.

Currently sitting in the ER with my son, who missed the bottom step and now we think he may have broken his ankle. I guess he was feeling sympathetic for @bevp.bsky.social today
