After undergoing surgery for an aneurysm, David* was discharged from hospital with no home to return to. He was feeling very vulnerable. Working closely with the Pathways Hospital Admission Team, we welcomed David into our new short-term Step-Down Bed Service at Fern Court in Dover.

Extreme heat is more than uncomfortable - for someone sleeping rough, and their pets, it can be fatal. When temperatures soar, the risk of dehydration and heat stroke rises fast, especially for those with no access to shade, water or shelter.

A huge thank you to everyone at Hilden Grange Preparatory School for raising an incredible £1,710 through their Christmas Raffle! Events like this not only raise vital funds, but also awareness and empathy. We’re so grateful for your continued support. 💜

Congratulations to Garry and Claire who got married at the weekend! The happy couple reconnected via social media while Garry was living in one of our homelessness properties. Now, they have their own home and celebrated with family and friends.

The Vagrancy Act, which criminalises homelessness, is being scrapped. The government must focus on providing long-term investment in support for people who are already homeless. Also address the rising the cost of living and unaffordable housing that threatens to leave many more without a home.
