Finally saw Fantastic Four: First Steps. That was damn fine... and the gratitude to Jack Kirby (FINALLY) actually brought a tear to my eye. Someone involved in this project was balancing some scales. 20 years ago today, I completed my first novel. It was published (the 1st novel released simultaneously in paperback, e-book, and free podcast editions) a bit later, and remains my most popular book. Since I've written two other novels that are each better, I have very mixed feelings about that...

Few things are better for my productivity than opening up the Epic Games application for a lil' Fortnite break and discovering both it and Unreal Engine need updating. I'll think about slacking off again in the fifty years it will take to finish the job.
