It's National Gymnastics Day! I never thought when I hung up my leotard I would get the chance to come back to the sport as a commentator. I'm so grateful that I get to share my love for gymnastics with anyone who will listen and the opportunities the sport has given me #ngd2025

With NBC's discussion of Donnell never having made an Olympic team, it's my legal obligation to remind you that he should have been on the 2016 Olympic team and had one of the best individual shots at a medal.

I really like John and Tim commentating men's gym together, they get pretty analytical and you can tell they are gymnerds.

One of my takeaways from classic was that Dulcy Caylor's gymnastics is going to translate so well in #NCAAGym! I hope I get to commentate for her.

I got my non gymnastics friend who is a MSU alum hooked on MSU gym this season and now he's texting me already asking me what the outlook is for next season. I feel like Dr. Frankenstein. My work here is done.

There's some excellent points being made about how commentators should educate fans. A few things we (commentators) can do better 1) Call out deductions without couching it (ie not everything is slight); 2) Celebrate routines that go 9.85/9.9 rather than lamenting they didn't go 10 🧵
