I was using an old phone to upload videos to TikTok and it was excruciatingly slow (takes ~20m to upload a video, the phone was 7 years old). Turns out, you can just buy a carrier-locked phone for cheap and then just not buy their plan. In other news, I can upload videos within seconds now.
