"Not really seeing him do the same": Injury-Prone Joel Embiid Brutally Defamed as $106M Ex-NBA Star Calls Out His Work Ethic Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been one of the most injury-prone stars in the league in recent seasons. On Tuesday, the center was brutally defamed by $106 million star Marcus Morris, who called out his work ethic.
NBA Central shared a clip of Morris' statement on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, the forward labeled his former teammate as a great player but questioned his dedication.
"You talk about Embiid, whatchu wanna say about Embiid, Embiid is a great player,â Morris said. "Just coming from different teams and seeing people at that level work as hard as they did, but not really seeing him do the same. Like, it kind of threw me off."
Continuing to offer his thoughts on the 76ers' star, Morris claimed the center still provided the output despite his lack of effort, which might have caused him to slack off.

"His production still matched, He had 70 last year, bro. He did not f*cking warm up. Like, literally, he did not warm up. He mightâve came in twenty-two minutes before the game started," Morris continued. "So, in his mind, I think heâs probably like, âMan, Iâm better than n*ggas' without even having to do that."
Morris, who earned $106,861,920 during his 13-year career in the NBA, spent half a season in Philadelphia, joining the team in the trade that sent James Harden to the Clippers.
The veteran forward made 37 appearances for the 76ers, playing alongside Joel Embiid during a season in which the center averaged a career-high 34.7 points per game.
However, Morris wasn't in Philadelphia for long, as he was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in February in a three-team deal.
Joel Embiid posts a season-high performance as Philadelphia remains cautious with his injury management
The Philadelphia 76ers continued their win streak with a 139-134 overtime win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. Tyrese Maxey continued his fine form during the matchup, recording a 39-point double-double at the Capital One Arena.
Joel Embiid, who was rested against the Magic after playing 20 minutes in the first two games featured against the Wizards and recorded a season high 25 points. However, the team remained cautious with his injury management, restricting him to just 23 minutes of action in the game.
After featuring in 58 games over the last two seasons, the 76ers are providing Embiid with time to recover, as they hope to have him back in full health during the latter stages of the season. https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketball/news-not-really-seeing-same-injury-prone-joel-embiid-brutally-defamed-106m-ex-nba-star-calls-out-his-work-ethic?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=bluesky#key2=5785346
