Devlog 1 of our Indie TTRPG: "Of Hearth & the Harrowing" The fantasy survival horror game is coming later this year from InCharacter Games. The game uses the Basic Universal Roleplaying Engine, by Chaosium that powers such hits as Call of Cthulhu, Runequest, Pendragon, and Dragonbane.

Next 'sprint' will be a little different. Outlining! Does that count as a writing sprint? Probably not because I will have some look ups to do etc. Plan is to get to a place where I can do some sprinting on the laptop later as I have some drop offs and pick ups to do with time in between.

Another quick paint job last night. Mini by Beastarium. I used to do a lot of slap chop. Especially for quick paints. I’m trying something new to me. Prime black. Build up in brown and tan instead of grey and white. Then do base and glazing. Plus inks. Etc. the new thing is building up the browns

Time to start a writing sprint. Let's put half an hour on the clock and see how much I can get done on the 'Of Hearth & the Harrowing' manuscript. Things in my crosshairs, hex crawl example, spreading corruption, bestiary intro expansion, bestiary entries. I think there is one other... and go.

It’s been many, many weeks, but finally got to playtest my indie TTRPG ‘Of Hearth & the Harrowing’ for the first time in a really long time. It was so much fun and also really juiced my love of this game and its potential! Great time with great friends. Can’t wait to get back to editing and layout.

Not an actress... a program. Like the creature she is standing in front. Ironically that creature might once have been made with a motion capture actor. Now it is likely all digital, like this amalgamation. We would not call the creature in a background an actor, we call it a special effect.

Worked a bit on TTRPG layout this morning. Found a doozy of an error past me made. That of course cascaded out across the document, rippling forth like a wave of putrid suck across my beautiful pages. Oh well. Next time I get time to do layout there is nothing to do but roll up the sleeves…
