Am I fucked for saying I actually support the Britain ID system? The reason is I'd rather have explicit boundaries between adult and non-adult spaces where you show ID, rather than every space having to accommodate this weird middle ground. It's been the reasoning allowing shit like VISA/MC.

This isn't me knocking mario sunshine. Again, this is me getting older and wanting to zone out and not concentrate. I played desktop survivors for 2 hours while listening to a podcast.

30 minutes setting up the emulator. 30 more minutes setting up the controller configuration for my gamecube controller. A whole five minutes of playing mario sunshine before I got bored.

No piece of media has ever gotten summer camps right. They portray it as some cheesy thing when in reality it's more like an open air insane asylum with all your friends. Like what inspired lord of the flies.

A fictional summer camp that is somehow more lame than the actual existing one I went to as a child. My first merit badge at BS Camp was shotgunning. I just completely skipped rifles. I think I was 13 or 12 or something.

I have an unreasonable amount of hatred for chimera camp. Unreasonable as in I shouldn't hate it but I do. I say this as someone that went to boy scout summer camps as a kid.

Oh, that folder called NPM? That just contains my entire site. Don't confuse it with the NPM_GIT folder, that just has all the games I made in javascript.

Oh, and don't get me started on what OneDrive did to this whole system. Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.

Oh, wait, before dropbox I was using a single usb stick because I wanted to edit videos, but realized da vinci wasn't going to work on a flash drive. It then went right back onto the videos folder. I had a heroic idea to save reference images/etc in a references folder before giving up again.

The game files themselves were in my desktop, until I started setting up github and just had the files default to the documents folder. Turns out, other programs also love using the documents folder so I put future games in a games folder in documents. I then stopped using github for dropbox.

I first kept all of my art in the pictures folder of windows. Then I started gamedev and got lazy, just storing the files in an art folder in the game directory. Until I said "fuck that" and bundled them all in whatever asset was relevant like a character.

I've been digging through all of my past projects half of it has been a bit of awe and pride over how much I really have grown in my art. The other half is wanting to strangle myself and bafflement from stupidity.

Oh god in heaven I am my own worst coworker.

Really fucked me up when I realized I had a twitch to check my phone every time I was bored. One of those moments that makes you doubt your free will.

Actually, most of adult life is built around not having sapience for a second because most of your day is spent overusing your berry-picking brain system on shit like excel spreadsheets.

I've realized getting older that the kind of videogames I want to play have changed dramatically. It's probably why I don't even open the 3ds I hacked. I just want to sit down and play balatro.
