this is a tough one! printed info is valuable, but only if it's up-to-date and with thousands of stops, that's a lot of labor any time there's a service change. I personally think going all-in on QR codes with printed info only at key transfer points and high-ridership stops is a good compromise

JLG had over 1k more donations from DC residents over the last month than McDuffie did, 1,919 to 836! Only raised $10k more than McDuffie though which speaks to the type of donor each candidate is attracting

Capital Bikeshare saw 605k rides in April, down from 664k a year ago. That's a great sign! We had been seeing ~20% YoY drops in ridership, but April was only down 9%. Coupled with all-time highs for dockless micromobility, more people are biking than ever and CaBi is on better financial footing!

I wanted to see who has the most Ward 1 support so I filtered contributions since the start of the race to merge multiple donations by the same person and then geocoded the results (caveats below): Miguel is in a distant 4th for total donors but has by far the highest % of Ward 1 donors!

Wow thank you ggwash for doing this! This feels like an undercount of Jackie's support but otherwise probably matches the vibes of the race at the moment. My wild guess is that Aparna would win if the vote was today and Rashida's the most likely to win in June, but still MANY undecided voters!

The Council just passed legislation to allow single-stair and single-entrance apartment buildings up to six stories in DC. Allowing single-stair buildings: ✅ Reduces housing construction costs ✅ Enables housing on narrow city lots ✅ Facilitates more family-sized units The bill passed unanimously.
