size diff between evernew and this UL alky stove— wild how this tiny thing can still boil 500ml or even cook rice, like it’s not losing to evernew at all ok firepower is def stronger on the evernew tho

the デジタルハリネズミ straight up refuses to “capture things properly” it just throws noise and weird color shifts at you, so the photo stops being a record and turns into an interpretation what would be a failure on a normal camera actually works here that’s why i love it lol

saw some Kodak Charmera shots—noise reduction + oversharpening is so rough it just kinda smears shadows n edges for a sec i thought it was giving デジタルハリネズミ energy but nah, different flavor

never really thought much about alcohol stoves before—like it was just Trangia or Evernew and that’s it but once you peek into the UL crowd, suddenly it’s a whole gacha of weird lil stoves and the joy is literally in choosing + overthinking them

kinda obsessed with baking just enough bread every few days so it never goes stale add a lil salad, decent coffee + soy milk—perfection

saw an article on the Kodak Charmera—looks like Kodak just lent the name for this Y2K revival. the cute design almost got me, but nah, it felt off. still, if i don’t expect Kodak’s brand philosophy and just treat it as part of the Hong Kong toy-digicam lineage, i could actually enjoy it

this windscreen’s only $3 but it’s insanely good. clean design, actually blocks wind like a champ, and the look changes every time i use it so it never gets boring. i seriously wanna force every esbit user to own one

ended up making my own alcohol stove cuz i got way too into them, and it’s honestly way more fun than i thought. if i’d known back in school, i probably would’ve gotten into the outdoors way earlier and my whole idea of fun would’ve been different

Finally gave my old-issued Esbit some long overdue TLC. Torched off the stubborn leftover fuel, gave it a good polish, and did a reheat to rebuild the oxide layer. Now it’s lookin’ like a tiny veteran—gritty, worn, kinda badass
