It’s hard to fathom how anyone could do this to an animal. This big boy was so happy for the fresh water, hay and warm blanket. He’s safe tonight thanks to a lot of you and we’re beyond grateful. It’s going to be a long road but we’re committed. He looks pretty snazzy in his new blanket, huh?

Ahh abscesses in the mud… poor Gideon (unidentified tattooed QH, I need to find out who he is)… was toe-pointing lame this a.m. He got his toes trimmed on Monday, too. I washed off the mud, picked his foot out and a big abscess burst in his toe! This one will make a wonderful partner for someone! #m

Thinking of where they came from to where they are now makes me emotional. The thought that someone could have taken this baby and shipped her mama to Mexico stops me cold. These two have a community of angels who believed their lives were worth something and we will forever be grateful.
