The fabulous Friends of Ladderedge Country Park volunteer group had a productive day recently. They transplanted bluebells and snow drops, and planted seed-grown foxglove, celandine, and red campion from the ancient woodland area into this newer plantation area. 🌼

Did you know eels are found in fresh water as well as the sea? 🧐 Our Conservation Team has completed some work for the Environment Agency on the River Stour. While with the EA, we surveyed species in the river, and found some fish and this little eel!

We recently hosted a coppicing workshop at Ladderedge Country Park to give residents new skills & knowledge. 🌳 🪓 Coppicing enables more light to reach the floor, allowing plants & flowers the chance to flourish. 🪲 They built a dead hedge using the cut materials - great for wildlife!
