I try not to give 1⭐️ reviews. But this was Awful. Paced like a bad soap opera, very little of substance actually happens. Things are set up and nothing is done with them. Horror is no where to be found, and the ho hum reaction of characters to supernatural events takes away any punch.

Finished #LostWorld by Crichton. Solid 3 out of 5. Not as good as Jurassic Park. It suffers from two long winded, cold characters in Malcolm and Levine. But the story shines with Harding and Thorne. Harding is a strong female character, and vast improvement over Sattler.

One thing I loved about early 2000s movies was they just oozed cool. The Matrix, Equilibrium, Blade...but to me, Underworld was it. Bad ass vampires vs werewolves, a kick ass soundtrack and Kate Beckinsale as Selene was it. Also that movie awakened the "oh you are definitely into goth chicks."

Paul Dano is amazing in THE FABELMANS, truly tragic and sad but full of love for his family. Also, Dano is INCREDIBLE in THERE WILL BE BLOOD. He does exactly what the role requires and goes beyond. Finally, Dano brings real relatability and empathy in SWISS ARMY MAN. Paul Dano - great actor.

Grady Hendrix tones down his humor and ups his visceral horror in a metalploitation novel #WeSoldOurSouls. It meanders a bit in the middle, and the end may be unsatisfying to some. Put on a metal instrumental Playlist, and have fun. A solid 3 out of 5 book.
