Everything Trump has done to Venezuela is an outrage. This morning’s attacks adds to the mountain of aggressive overreach he’s already committed. Either Congress steps in and shuts Trump down immediately or they can consider themselves complicit with his actions and suffer the consequences.

Prez Gustavo Petro of Colombia posted on social media that Caracas is under attack, describing bombardment/explosions in Venezuela’s capital & called for urgent international intervention. Petro framed it as an act of aggression, warning escalation threatens stability across northern South America.

Trump is exploiting our laws in ways no President in history ever did because our democracy never thought any person would get this far. Trump has and he isn’t done. Congress needs to shut this Venezuelan aggression down instead of voting down the ability to. Unilateral war is NOT his privilege.

Trump declared Venezuela a terrorist state to fold it into the War on Terror. If these Caracas reports end up tied to U.S. action, it fits the exact escalation path I’ve been warning about: undeclared hostilities packaged as sanctions/counter-narco/counter-terror enforcement to sidestep Congress.
