I have 76 packets of seeds on the way so I had to start the ones that were already here first.

No I didn't just buy 76 seed packets even though one of my gardens is already full. Don't be silly. Narrator: she definitely bought 76 packets of seeds and 83 will be delivered because Baker Creek gives free packets.

The daffos are trying to dill and the colums are trying to bine! Listen, it's not going to get less weird. Deal with it.

Tulips are starting to poke through! I had nine crocuses today.

As many of you know sometimes I grow things on accident. Here are some giant mystery tomato seedlings that grew out of dirt in the top of a grow tent I haven't opened in well over a month. They got very thirsty. I have no idea what kind they might be because I reuse dirt and didn't plant them lol.

Is it too early to start tomato seeds for spring? Asking for a friend. (Just kidding, I have no friends.)

Flower Wednesday? Last year I laid tulips and crocuses out in an alternating grid every foot. Crocuses are good at naturalizing and perennializing here. Tulips not so much. So this year tulips are going in with a fan pattern. We shall see what comes back from last year!

If you followed me over from Facebook, you'll recognize that my 593 tulip bulbs this year is fewer than usual. If you're new to me, you'll probably say HOLY FUCK 593 BULBS? Either way, I'm heading out to plant.

I finally stopped being lazy and packaged my mixed columbine seeds! The packages on the left have at least 25 (which is more like 50+) and the left have at least 100+ (also probably double but I'm too lazy to count). This weekend I intend to secure my permit to sell!

If you've ever noticed pink tags on my rose bushes, it's because I sat down once day and googled the patents for every single one to see which I could legal propagate. My Music Box roses were all about it, and have already flowered. It's only about 4" tall. 🥹

It's that time of year! Emails like this where I say things like "who?" and "I wonder what I bought."

Cleaned up the grape vines for next year. I can't bring myself to prune as suggested to maximize fruiting, because that's not my only goal. But I would like to keep it under control lol.

I've truly been terrible at taking care of my tomatoes this year at every step but I updated my spreadsheet tonight. I'm certain I didn't write everything down, but I'll compare to last year to see what's worth growing again. Second pic is various super ripe tomatoes, quartered. So pretty!

Finally cut the peach tree back the way these whiny fucks wanted and found a flower! Let's see if I get another peach lol.

Couple storms ago, the top cage on one of my plants collapsed and fell over. I secured it again and it fell again, so I'm propping it with another cage on the ground. I believe I might do this on purpose next year

Sorry I've been quiet lately. Everything has just been a lot and I have some new projects going. But for perspective on how tall my sunflowers were, this is one from ground height after I cut off the white piece to its right. 13 feet? Maybe 14.

I'm really testing my plant magic tonight. Dug up this tomato that wasn't doing amazing, left it for a couple hours because I forgot, and then replanted it in a different spot. We'll see how it goes!

Finally digging up potatoes this weekend.

Told myself all year that I would not be planting tulips this fall because it's pricey and time consuming... But people were so sad. So the tulip ordering began today. I can't disappoint the town and the Internet like this, apparently.

I got a new rain barrel to replace the one that was leaking and they made some major improvements to it. I am super pleased.

I have a gabillion of these soldier beetles. Imagine my joy when I learned they're beneficial!

I've had so much going that the flowers and garden haven't gotten the attention they deserve, but this shy lady came by today. She's absolutely beautiful. Need her to bring her boyfriend around for the real show.

Had a bunch of tiny zinnia pop up yesterday. They're smaller than a quarter lol.

Popped out to take the trash bins back into the yard and these guys were very purple. The photo doesn't do it justice. But it was a nice midnight surprise.
