I am so proud of myself. I just finished a coaching session with someone who has been in the audiobook field. I have goals, advice on how to improve my recording setup, and yeah...I'm really glad I did this.

I signed up for an online coaching session which will be happening this Tuesday to serious start pursuing my audiobook/VA dreams. No, not giving up being a teacher, ever.

Did not have 'get emotional while making a light saber at Disney World' on the bingo card. But it makes sense. My dad and I enjoyed watching Star Wars together (we saw ROTJ in the theater while my sister and mom went to see something else), and while this may sound really corny, I felt his presence.

Made it through the 2nd year anniversary of my father's passing relatively ok. However, ALS needs to have a cure found. So do all the cancers, etc.

Sooo...Tomorrow is the 2 year anniversary of my father's passing. I know some may not have had the positive relationship that I had with my father, and I don't want-especially in these times- to trigger anyone with any posts that I may do tomorrow. And, ALS needs to be cured.

To anyone in the education field (and this is not just for teachers, but everyone): I know it's really, really hard right now. I appreciate you. We all rock.

Hello! So my new job is amazing- both my coteachers and the administration. This is a first for me.

For once in my life, I do NOT want a snow day tomorrow. Why? I still have stuff to get out of my soon-to-be former classroom, and 2 days would work out better for me than just one. However, if it turns out I end up having to do Friday/Saturday, that's fine.

That feeling when, at 49, you do something for yourself that terrifies you, but works out so well. I start a new teaching job Dec 9th. I can't wait. So much more awesome is already waiting for me. I've earned it.

I had a phone screening today for a job closer to home. I'm feeling very good about this! Next week I meet with the school administration team, and get a tour of the school.

Is there a resource I can use to change a teacher resume into one that is more senior care centered?
