I forgot to mention I finished the most recent Murderbot book, Platform Decay, a few days ago. It was enjoyable but short. It also felt slightly different in style, with far more nested parentheticals than I recall from previous installments. Still, a good, fast read with plenty of humor.

Egads, James S.A. Corey’s novella Livesuit was a downer. Well written, compelling, but it really ends on a bleak note. Next up, The Faith of Beasts…

Trump really is the absolute worst at negotiating. He knows nothing but sticks, with no sense of carrots. He wants Iran to meet with a US delegation in Pakistan, so he threatens them and seizes their ships. What reason does Iran have to agree just to be so disrespected? Iran holds the cards here.
