I suspect that were in for a cold winter. The Ranunculus is at its third flower. Theorerically it is only meant to be sprouting leaves now. Flowering time is usually August to September.

The difference a week makes. If you ever need a solution for a displaced nest, these baskets work perfectly . The fact that you can hang it out of reach of cats is an absolute added perk. The little ones look ready to start exploring the word. 💜

Visited the Hadeco Dahlia Festival today. It's always so lovely to find new plant events to attend. Especially when you hear the speakers hail the praises of the specialists in other horticultural fields.

What an interesting start to the morning. I was worried about a tree toppling with the non stop rain, but did not anticipate it to be this one. Already checked for wild creatures, and will check again throughout the day as they cut it up.
