One of the many Hawk Moth species. Interesting enough, what I thought was wing damage seems to part of the wing design as it is symmetrical.

The Hadeco Spring Festival was so utterly magical. Some Ranunculus variants from the day. Including some colours I dont have. The Burgundy is definitely on my must have list.

I suspect that were in for a cold winter. The Ranunculus is at its third flower. Theorerically it is only meant to be sprouting leaves now. Flowering time is usually August to September.

The difference a week makes. If you ever need a solution for a displaced nest, these baskets work perfectly . The fact that you can hang it out of reach of cats is an absolute added perk. The little ones look ready to start exploring the word. 💜

Visited the Hadeco Dahlia Festival today. It's always so lovely to find new plant events to attend. Especially when you hear the speakers hail the praises of the specialists in other horticultural fields.

Marsala Grandirosa. Not the strongest of roses, but the colour makes up for it over and over.

What an interesting start to the morning. I was worried about a tree toppling with the non stop rain, but did not anticipate it to be this one. Already checked for wild creatures, and will check again throughout the day as they cut it up.

Making new friends. There was some convincing involved in getting the little beastie into a safe garden corner. Apparently I'm the place of safety for tiny garden beasties.

The mystery rose. Not what I intended to buy, but exactly what I needed. I will be taking a sample with to the rose farm at some stage to have it identified.
