Who was it, Marvin Bell I think, was doing a poetry reading, I think it was the Dead Man poems era, and someone asked him what one of the poems meant, if he could explain it. He said something like, "I'll try," and then read the poem again. Pretty good answer, really.

No narrative arc, but it is a book (DRIVING THE BEAST, forthcoming Louisiana State Univ Press 2025). The first reviewer was feline, and thus entirely inscrutable.
