Whenever we have a new rescue, everyone gets impatient to meet the newcomer and tries to sneak a peak. Edna the goat has been no exception. They sometimes go to great (and impressive) lengths to get a view undetected. Can you find who is peaking at her in the third picture?

Quincy is a patient father. Little Rachel is fascinated by Quincy’s caruncles (the folds on his neck) and Quincy doesn’t seem to mind his curious pecks - though he wouldn’t put up with it from anyone else.

Before we make the big announcement and share our new rescue’s story, Jenna wanted to remind everyone that she is here and would like the focus not to get too far off of the real star and diva. So for a moment can we all let Jenna be our focus.

GOAT Rescue In PROGRESS! And he is going to need some serious care once we get him. He has been living in the wild for the last few months and been seen by hikers about 2-3 miles back on a remote trail.

I can’t stop imagining the inside of a recycling plant actually being a bunch of baby turkeys pecking away at everything. Charlie and Louisa would be excellent employees I’m sure.

We love all the interesting positions that the pigs fall asleep in together. Mother and daughter pair Pumpkin and Charlotte have slept together every night of Charlotte’s life (8 years!) so we have seen a lot of things… but this mutual bottom touching was a new one 😆

Poor Huckleberry! He had his neuter surgery and he did not enjoy it at all. All went well, and he is recovering now. But, he is definitely in pain now and it’ll be nice once he feels better again. Unfortunately, we couldn’t risk Bonnie or Piper either getting pregnant.

Little Rachel is getting used to not being with his momma Tia for short periods of time. Both him and his sister Betty have accepted that getting loved on is just part of life here at Life With Pigs.

I can’t believe how close we came to losing this boy! Huckleberry makes everyday so special with his endless supply of joy and love to spread. We are so glad he seems to continue to do better and be filled with his Huckleberry charm!!

Millie knows the morning routine. Huckleberry gets a little bit of Gatorade/water to help him stay hydrated. Millie makes her cutest face and waits patiently-ish so that she can finish what he leaves behind, or at least lick the bowl. Everybody wins.

There is no justifiable reason to harm an animal when you have a choice not to. Pumpkin and her daughter Charlotte have slept nose to nose or belly to belly every day of Charlotte’s life. I can’t imagine someone taking Charlotte’s mom from her just because they like the way something tastes.

When Sam escaped her area, Maisie was out of her mind with excitement! It was like all her dreams had come true and finally she could interact with the celebrity she had stared at from afar for so long now!! Sam, on the other hand, was far less impressed…

How many do you count? Sure, there is a large barn literally 10 feet over they could all be in, but apparently Annie, Huck, Bonnie and Piper all prefer being much more close together. So much adorableness in so little space.

For as long as we’ve known her, Tia has wanted to be a mom. Along came two tiny, perfect babies: Betty and Rachel. She clucks to them softly, gathers them close under her wings, and shields them from the world. This time, she was ready.

Arthur knew Mallory’s back wasn’t feeling well, so he came to visit her and keep her company while she was using a heating pad. But by the end he completely forgot about comforting her and seemed to be quite distracted by Netflix 😆
