One last shot of the #LEGO #Concorde now that she has a home. Planes always seem to have names. I’m thinking about calling her “Marcia’s Gift” after my sister. I’m keeping the landing gear up because I like to think of her reaching cruising altitude. My accent wall makes for a decent sky!

And FINISHED! The landing gear retracts, the nose moves up and down, and the flaps and ailerons move, too! #LEGO is great with details. The #Concorde was a fun build. I look forward to the next one. As soon as I figure out where I’d put it!

The docs want me up and moving every forty minutes or so. My physical therapist brings ankle weights. I’m settling for the heavier basketball shoes I haven’t worn in three years. My surgical recovery is going great! This keeps the train moving forward. #backpainrelief #postop #recovery

T-minus two weeks to #surgery. I’ve been asked how my back got messed up. I blamed wear and tear. I forgot something. April 20, 2008. I was struck by a woman running a red light. I tore muscles in my back. I never took my spine into account. I should have. It was just a matter of time.
