I do still want to play fighting games, but I’ve not been sounding like it or proving to myself that I want to. I’ve shelved my sticks after BITE. I don’t want any new games until I try to enjoy the ones I have beyond one hour of labs and an online loss. Gotta learn to schedule things better. XD

The good of 2025: Attended many new tournaments with friends. Got top 8 in StepManiaX twice! Fought JWong in 3rd Strike after 17 years. FINALLY visited SoCal! Met Kyle Ward and had a blast at IAAPA! Got a new PC. Started streaming. Did lots of dance game commentary! Ran a DDR Extreme event!

The money that Hamster would make off of me alone if they would make Arcade Archives Collection bundles, especially physical releases! Didn’t they just hit a milestone in releases? Also, can we get a sale on some of these, please?

I wanted to “kind of” stay on the other site to get FGC and DGC/RGC event news for things I don’t have the Discord servers for, or friends that don’t use Discord much, but yeah. I think I can let it go. Should have left after my BITE TO duties were over.

I had a very busy year. Easily the busiest of my life. So many good memories and achievements with my friends, travels, and events. I want that to stay with me forever. There was also a lot of anxiety, sadness, and fear. But I’m still here. And I’m glad that you all are, too.

GodDAMN, the new DJMAX DLC got some hellfire!! This song alone has a Hard 14 and then these 15s! This SC hurts!!

Even I sometimes need that shove or someone to chew me out to do something I want or need because my motivation nosedives and I’m in my head thinking nonsense.

Now I’m just pinching every point I can because they’re not flowing like crazy anymore. XD I can S Rank SC 13+ charts! But yay rank ups!!

Really needed a break from that IIDX spreadsheet, so I finally set this shit up! Time to push up on DJMAX and EZ2ON boards!

Took a break after Thanksgiving, mostly because last week’s weather hit me with the lazy hammer. Almost got 10K combo in 17-19 Quickplay. Got another 22 to 99k to close off the night! I needed a “screw score grinding” session!

I did get a new PC this week, but the weather has been so gloomy that I’ve had no ambition to plug it in to start testing stream quality or even just see if the rhythm games run better without stutters. Hell, I’ve done nothing this week but cross-check IIDX CS scores.

I don’t have faith that I’ll reach World rank in DDR World. But I want one more good weekend to travel and chase it.

So, my 32” Ultragear monitor is only 3 years old and has been awesome for rhythm games (and Fightcade), but I’m curious. Is there something new and better in that size? Can I mix-match with a second non-LG monitor for OBS? ITG will still be played on the SMX.

I could be playing one of the many unbeaten games in my library that I keep thinking of downsizing, or even a rhythm or fighting game. Instead I’m letting IIDX give me a headache again and all I’m doing is cross-checking every CS score because I’m shy about 10k EX and 20 lamps.

IIDX jokes aside, I’m really thankful for the friends in my life. It always means the world to me to come together when we can. Love you all!

Yay dilemma. - I wanna get a new stream PC for SMX and some retro game shit, mainly to be social. - I wanna get off social media and ban myself from the news for a while to focus on my overall health. But don’t wanna seem ignorant and not caring.

Dropped ITG. Didn’t make Top 8 in DDR Extreme, but did get to commentate the Top 8 which was fun! Got Top 8 in SMX! Got eliminated following some great matches. Did commentary for the rest of Top 8! Had an absolute blast this weekend at Dash Dance!!

Out of Pump It Up. Promoted to stage 3 in ITG. In Top 16 Loser’s side in DDR Extreme! In Top 12 Winner’s side in SMX!! Let’s go!!

Since I’m still awake while waiting for a roommate to arrive, How the hell did I get Intermediate Level 6 AND Level 8 titles for Pump in the same set where I only cleared a new S16 and failed out on an S21? lol! Anyway, I’m intermediate Level 8 now! New highest title!

In the morning, I’m off to my last tournament of the year, and MAYBE last one for a while. Doing all 4 dance games at Dash Dance. Gonna end this year going all out!

That was a World Series!! And what a finale!

Got MK Legacy Kollection digitally on PS4 to also get it on PS5 for nothing extra and double the Platinum trophies. Finally getting to play MK Special Forces and… I need a hug. And I’m about to torture myself with 2 plays of it, as well as MK Mythologies.

Now I just wanna play classic arcade games again!

Maybe my eyes just suck, but I’m really not into the lighting used in today’s games.I get it that graphics are near realism now, but daylight is too much. I can’t look at it for very long. That’s a huge reason why I don’t talk about or play many new AAA games outside of fighters.

I really don’t know anymore if it’s the change in weather coming, allergies, or my equilibrium acting up again, but I’ve been feeling off-balance the past couple days. I felt good enough to play SMX on Sunday, but have been out of it since.

I’ve followed Cavalera Conspiracy since Inflikted!! They’ve become one of my favorite metal bands of this generation! This is awesome news and an awesome track!

I gotta stop looking at my phone and headlines so damn much, especially while I’m in my downtime. Not even completely about a lot of stuff sucking, but I’ve let it impact my motivation to either play new stuff, practice harder, let alone prioritize my health overall.

Got double-boostered yesterday and also snuck in practicing Extreme songs again. But today, my body said “Nope.jpg!” and my arms agreed.

Tried some new Monarch shoes. They were too heavy and I was missing shit. Went back to a pair of Brooks I’ve had for a few years. Better choice. Still wish Nike would just make my damn Lunar Fingertraps again.

Taking a couple weeks off from SMX to work on ITG and DDR Extreme songs for Dash Dance. But also have been needing a small break to dodge burnout. Been playing just SMX for 6 months outside of tournaments. Last tournament of the year for me.

I need more setups! I’m missing PIU and IIDX!

I had a vent-out this morning. Everything this week got to me. I need to do better about not getting overwhelmed and paralyzed by fear. I do love life and everyone in mine too much to be letting that happen. I love you all. Please be good to yourselves and each other.

Im no tech wiz, but I spent today alone trying to set my SMX monitor up on a capture card and was probably almost done, but I couldn’t figure out sound, and found out I had to re-select my card as the source to show display AFTER I undid everything. Kinda feel like a dumbass.

Turned on my SMX cab to download the new update, but boiled shrimp dinner got me feeling too bloated to grind. Also had fried shrimp for lunch. Neither choice was influenced by The Shrimps, but I feel like playing it.

Redshift is over, and I had to cut hangout time short because I have to wake up stupid early to fly home. I love my friends so much and I love getting to come to these events to be with them doing awesome things that bring us together.
