We didn’t want a classic NES-style life bar. Inspired by shmups like Espgaluda, we used a long segmented gauge. It supports both pixel-level damage and big chunks and lets boss behavior change with HP. 昔ながらのファミコン風HPバーは避けたかった。参考にしたのは『エスプガルーダ』のようなシューティング。細かく分割された長いゲージで、ピクセルでも大ダメージでも対応でき、HPで行動も変わります。

We didn’t want Lyra to fight with violence. During boss fights, she collects blooming flowers in the arena. Each one sends a wave of sympathy to calm the boss’s heart. No attacks — just a risky path to connection. ライラには攻撃してほしくなかった。ボス戦では、ステージに咲く花を集めていきます。その一つ一つが共感の波となって、ボスの心を落ち着かせる。戦うのではなく、つながりを探す戦い。
