I’ve always been quietly intrigued by these wheels. Walmart had one on clearance for $45, so I guess it’s coming home with me. If nothing else I’ve got a 5-year old at home that should get a kick out of it.

“The closet corner of spare displays.” I should get rid of this CRT. I don’t think I have anything that even plugs into the thing anymore outside of my childhood NES (and an AV-modded Famicom) and I just kinda use the RetroUSB AVS for that these days. The Samsung is nice to have just in case.

Dug the “It’s-A Me, Mario!” figure out of the closet that I bought for my daughter way back in 2022 (she was only one year old at the time) and presented it to her today since it seemed appropriate, especially now that she actually knows who Mario is.

Installed MX Linux on a 12-year old Chromebook and I was kinda astonished how well it could remote play games over my network, despite the Steam software itself taking like five minutes to launch every time.

This morning on the drive into work I saw people already “camped out” for a Mardi Gras parade that doesn’t start until 4PM tomorrow. It ain’t that serious, FFS.
