Friday night film is A Complete Unknown starring Timothée Chalamet. Been wanting to see this for a while.

Amazingly, still no snow here, just the shittiness of bastard rain 🙃

That the Apple Watch knows even I’m dreaming is absolutely bonkers to me. Unfortunately the last dream just before I woke up was a nightmare so I still haven’t recovered 🙃

Painted my nails all blue sparkly though far from professional but who doesn’t need a bit of colour to improve their mood in January?

Slept so badly, only consolation is I’m not working today but motivation is so low for the weeks ahead

Quite emotional at the end of the new Channel 4 David Bowie documentary. Such an incredible artist and human being. Still feel his loss in the world.

I’m now watching random videos on YouTube. We’ve done New Order, Cocteau Twins and REM and now Steve has just introduced me to Killing Joke with the song ‘Eighties’. They were an influence on Nirvana and you can hear the same notes in ‘Come As You Are’. Really cool!

Tonight’s film is When Harry Met Sally, not only a feelgood film but in tribute to Rob Reiner ❤️

Going to have a quiet NYE with some wine and a film. What am I saying, that’s every NYE since I was about 25 😊 Happy New Year when it comes everyone! 🥳

On the downside it took me a while to get to sleep and I woke up a lot; on the upside in my dream I confessed my crush to Paul Rudd which resulted in some kissing* *This was before I went on my mission dealing with the Yakuza, naturally

If Pac-Man was reincarnated as a fruit cake (Better than the one I made 3 days ago which was overcooked and extremely dry) 💪🏻

A half hour walk followed by a late lunch, and this time I didn’t burn the Yorkshires!

I braved Sainsbury’s at 10am, it was fine. The downside was I spent nearly £50 🙃

I don’t have anything for the Christmas Day meal yet and I keep going to bed late so once again I’m not up early to go to the supermarket. But as all the shopping falls to me I feel slightly rebellious like I don’t care. I’ll feel less rebellious and more stupid when I’m stuck in a queue later 🙃

Tonight’s film is A Real Pain. I’ve wanted to watch this for a while.

Honestly, I’m surprised Walliams wasn’t dropped sooner. Most of us have known he was a wrong ‘un for years. I’ve always refused to buy his books, and not just because they’re rip-off versions of Roald Dahl. Are bookshops and supermarkets going to stop selling his books now?

Made the mistake of going out to the library and supermarket before lunch, thinking it would be a quick trip, only to find the world had gone mad with queues in every shop, and a two-vehicle smash on the way out with both cars a write-off. Take care out there, people!

Well, made it to the last day of work in 2025.

You know what my perfect Christmas would be? Going away, maybe to Paris (where I haven’t been since 2012, or anywhere outside the UK, where I haven’t been since 2017) with Steve. And only Steve. 😭 😭 😭

Look what finally dropped through the post … lush alternative Doctor Who annual! I never actually had one as a kid (closest I got was Worzel Gummidge) – bought this for the whole family to enjoy 😊

Ok so I don’t want to be *that person* but I went in Sainsbury’s and goats milk has gone up 15p to TWO POUNDS THIRTY. And my boys drink a LOT of goats milk. It’s the same in Tesco or Morrisons. So goats milk is a luxury. And my wages ever diminish. It’s hard not to get depressed 😔 *Grandpa Simpson

Steve and I managed to catch the final showing of Edgar Wright’s The Running Man remake this afternoon. I don’t think anything could surpass the original but it was good!

This is awful news. One of my favourite film directors. RIP ❤️

Tonight’s film is a rewatch of Scott Pilgrim!

I never treat myself so decided to get a nice teapot (as I didn’t have one) and cups from Etsy. The cups are more like mugs and a lot bigger than I expected but all very nice 😊

Friday night film is Knives Out. Looking forward to this as I’ve never seen it before!

Went into work yesterday for only Christmas gathering before Editorial ceases to exist. Painted my nails accordingly although no one really noticed. Maybe they were distracted by my usual Christmas teddy jumper 😄

Tree isn’t ready but the advent calendar is! Assorted chocolate and lollies ready for the boys. Aren’t they lucky? 🎄

Tree ain’t happening today, I am worn out and worn down from two boys who should know better fighting all the time 😔

A movie that takes place where you’re from. I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle (1990). Starring Neil Morrissey, Michael Elphick and Anthony Daniels. A British comedy horror film about a motorcycle possessed by an evil spirit, which rides by itself and kills people. The greatest film I’ve never seen? 😆

I noticed today that mature cheese in Sainsbury’s has gone up by TEN PENCE and I’m outraged again. It was like that time where they put the apple juice up TWENTY PENCE and thought no one would notice. And it’s STILL at the higher price even now.

My weird brain = weird dreams last night: 1. Phone conversation with Joan Collins where I rang her up to praise her performances in Dynasty and that episode of Star Trek OS 2. Being kidnapped 3. My mum feeding Stella tomato ketchup and Stella loving it 🙃

Was chucking a blizzard here about 20 mins ago but now it’s stopped and mostly very wet so not really much to see now! ❄️
