The television season isn't over, but my mind is on the broadcast TV that I'm going to watch over the summer once their seasons finish. Blue Bloods is making a compelling case as is a catch-up on Fire Country (I fell off in season 3).

The romances in The Forsytes have not captured my attention. But I am invested in Irene (I don't trust her man!), Frances (who seems one betrayal away from an affair with Joe's father), and the bond between Joe and June, which I hope heals after the revelation that she has siblings.

The art and action sequences in #StarWars: Maul - Shadow Lord have pulled me in so far. But I know it's Maul and Devon's story that's going to be what draws me in fully. I'm intrigued by the idea of a Sith turned crime boss mentoring a Jedi to see the world less rigidly and black/white.

In a win for broadcast, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor has been cast as Captain Frost in CBS' Einstein. She'll play a veteran of the police force who is ready to retire with her partner. The series, which stars Matthew Gray Gubler and Melissa Fumero, will premiere during the 2026-2027 TV season.
