Holy crap, getting wifi to work on Linux is still as painful as it was 20 years ago. 1) Need to compile and install out-of-tree driver 2) Need to fiddle with modules.d config files to get the correct regulatory region applied for 6 GHz to connect (after two other suggested fix failed to work)

I've been monitoring the price of that 64 GB DDR5 kit that I bought a year ago at $269 CAD. The kit went up another $170 today, and now sells at $1165 CAD. Forget Bitcoin, invest in DDR5.

Tip: if you own a Cyberpower UPS, don't turn it off ahead of a planned power outage hoping to use it when you wake up to power up your modem/router. The bloody thing refuses to be turned on if there is no power, regardless of having a fully charged battery. Sigh.
