One of the enjoyable things about having your own gallery are the random people you met & the conversations that result. This past weekend I met the man who helped his father hang this door - part of possibly the most photographed scene in the city - just off Canyon Road in Santa Fe in the 1970s.

Yesterday I was reading "Orbital" by Samantha Harvey when I came across this line on page 2: "The Milky Way is a smoking trail of gunpowder shot through a satin sky." It made me think of this photo I took last August in Monument Valley - and I was immediately pulled into the story.
