Not sure how publicized it is here, but the Serbian govt. has cut the salaries of (I believe) all academics in public institutions—punishing prof's. for the student protests. This is *far* worse than what's w/ academics in the US (for now). Shame on Serbia—and on western govt's. for ignoring this!
