'Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb said: "Behave humbly with those who taught you and those who you teach." [الآداب الشرعية ٢٢٤/١]

"أتغلبك الدنيا وأنت الذي تحمل الآيات في صدرك؟!" "Are you allowing the world to overcome you while you carry the Ayāt (of Qur'ān) within your heart?!"

Ḥasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله said:  "The leader of the body is the tongue. When the tongue commits a crime, the limbs commit it. When the tongue abstains, the limbs abstain (from sin)." ‎[جامع العلوم والحكم ٢٧٥/١]

مَنْ عَرَّضَ نَفْسَهُ لِلتُّهْمَةِ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ مَنْ أَسَاءَ بِهِ الظَّنَّ، "Whoever exposes himself to accusations, then do not blame the one who has evil thoughts" 📚 Al-Zuhd li Abī Dawūd 1/98

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ وَإِيَّاكِ وَالْعُنْفَ وَالْفُحْشَ 'Āishah رضي الله عنها reported: RasūlAllāh ﷺ, said: “You must be gentle, and beware of harshness and obscenity.” 📚 Saḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6030

‎ قال قتادة رحمه الله : ‎إن الله سائـل كـل عبـد ، ‎عما استودعه من نعمته وحقه". Qatada رحمه الله said: "Verily Allāh ﷻ will ask every servant about what He entrusted him with of his blessings and his rights." ‎● [إغاثة اللهفان ٨٤/١]

‌‏عن محمد بن سيرين رحمه الله أنه قال : ‌‏ ‌‏إنَّ أكثر الناس خطايا. ‌‏ ‌‏أكثرهم ذكرًا لخطايا الناس. ‌‏ Muḥammad Ibn Sirin said: ❝Verily those with the most sins are those who mention the sins of the peoples.❞ ‎[المجالسة وجواهر العلم لأبي بكر الدينوري ٦٨/٦]

Imam Ahmed رحمه الله said: ختمت ‌القرآن في يومٍ؛ ‏فعددت موضع الصبر؛ فإذا هو نيفٌ وتسعون “I finished the Qur’an in one day, so I counted the places of Sabr; and there were over 90.” ‏مناقب ابن الجوزي، ص: 384

اللـهم إنّـك عـفـوٌ تـحـب الـعفـو فاعـف عنّـي Oh Allāh you are Oft-Pardoning and You love to pardon so pardon me

Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said: “By Allah, if it was said to the dead in their graves, ‘Wish for something.’ They would wish to witness one more day of Ramadan.” [at-Tabsirah | 2/75]

“Knowledge is that which is established upon evidence.” [ابن تيمية فتاوي ١٣٦/١٣]

Al-Ḥasan Al-Baṣri (رحمه الله) said: “ألا إن شهركم قد أخذ في النقص، فزيدوا أنتم في العمل.” "Verily, your month is decreasing, so increase your good deeds." [Laṭā’if Al-Ma‘ārif: 1/184]

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Fasting will intercede for the slave on the Day of Judgment." [صحيح الترغيب ٩٨٠]

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Every servant of Allāh who observes fast for a day in the way of Allāh, Allāh would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years' distance.” [صحيح مسلم ١١٥٣]

'Abdullāh Ibn Mas'ūd رضي الله عنه said: “Do not scatter the Qur'ān as if it were dates falling from a tree, nor recite quickly as if it were poetry. Stop at its verses that amaze you and let it move your hearts. Let not your concern be reaching the end of the Surah.” أخلاق حملة القرآن 1

‏يقول ابن الجوزي رحمه الله: تالله لو قيل لأهل القبور تمنوا، لتمنوا يومًا من رمضان. Ibn Al Jawzi رحمه الله said: By Allāh, if it were said to the people of the graves to make a wish, they would wish for one day of Ramadhān. [التبصرة لابن الجوزي]

Al-Shatibi رحمه الله: “It is an objective of Salah to escape from the intrigues of Dunya.” 📖 الموافقات 3/143

Ibn Taymiyyah, رحمه الله, said: “There is nothing of more benefit to the heart than Tawhīd and Ikhlās” (مجموعة الفتاوى، ١٠/٦٢٥)

عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُبْعَثُ كُلُّ عَبْدٍ عَلَى مَا مَاتَ عَلَيْهِ Jabir رضي الله عنه reported: RasūlAllāh ﷺ said, “Every servant will be resurrected upon the way that they died.” (Saḥīḥ Muslim 2878)

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said, “By fasting in Sha'ban prior to Ramadhān, one will find the sweetness and pleasure of the fast, so that he will enter into the fast of Ramadhān with vigor and determination.” [Latā'if al-Ma'ārif]

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله once wrote: I have never seen anything which nourishes the intellect and soul, preserves the body, and ensures happiness more than consistently reading from Allāh's Book. [Majmū' al-Fatāwa 7/493]

'Abdullāh bin 'Umar رضي الله عنهما said: "Every Bid'ah (innovation) is misguidance, even if the people think it is good." [Sharh Usul Itiqad Ahlus Sunnah, 1/111]

Why Bid'ah is worse than Sins إنَّ الْبِدْعَةَ أَحَبُّ إلَى إبْلِيسَ مِنْ الْمَعْصِيَةِ لِأَنَّ الْبِدْعَةَ لَا يُتَابُ مِنْهَا وَالْمَعْصِيَةُ يُتَابُ مِنْهَا Verily, Innovation is more beloved to Iblīs than sins, because Innovation you don't repent from and sins you repent from. (Majmū' Al Fatāwa vol 10 pg9)

Hold Fast To The Rope Of Allāh Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: كتاب الله هو حبل الله الممدود من السماء إلى الأرض “The Book of Allāh (i.e Qurʾān) is the Rope of Allāh extended from the heaven towards earth.” [سلسلة الأحاديث الصحيحة برقم ٢٠٢٤ ، حسنه الألباني]

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله: “As for fasting Rajab specifically, all its hadiths are weak, rather fabricated; the people of knowledge do not rely on anything of it.” (Majmu’ al-Fatāwa 290/25)

عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ Ibn 'Umar رضي الله عنه reported: RasūlAllāh ﷺ said, “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” (Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4031)

(١) اعلموا أن الإسلام هو السنة، والسنة هي الإسلام، ولا يقوم أحدهما إلا بالآخر “(1) Know that Islām is the Sunnah and the Sunnah is Islām, and one of them cannot be established without the other. “ (Sharh As-Sunnah - Imām Al Barbahāri - pg35)

Tariq ibn Shihab reported: 'Umar ibn al-Khattab رحمه الله, said, “Verily, we were a disgraceful people and Allāh honored us with Islam. If we seek honor from anything besides that with which Allāh honored us, Allāh will disgrace us.” (al-Mustadrak ‘alá al-Ṣaḥīḥayn 207)

Tawhīd is The Greatest Medicine Imām Rajab رحمه الله said: For indeed, this Tawhīd is the greatest medicine; if even a tiny particle of it were placed on a mountain of sins and disobedience, it would turn them into good deeds. [أسباب المغفرة, ابن رجب ص٦]

Imām ash-Shinqīṭī رحمه الله: “A man DOES NOT benefit from a deed UNLESS it is based upon the foundation of CORRECT 'AQĪDAH.” [العذب النمير ٥/٥٦٩]

Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه: “Verily, Allāh gives wealth to whom He loves and whom He does not loves, but He does not give Imān except to whom He loves!” [Az-Zuhd Li Ibn Abī Dunyā: 149]

Ubaid Ibn 'Omair رحمه الله used to say if winter came: "O people of the Qur'ān, the nights have lengthened for your prayers and the days have shortened for your fasting so take advantage." ‎[المصنف لابن أبي شيبة ٩٨٣٦]

Al-Imām Mujāhid [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: “When you yawn whilst reciting the Qur’ān, stop reciting due to veneration [in respect of the Qur’ān], until you stop yawning.” Al-Jāmi’ li-Ahkām il-Qur’ān, 1/49 | Al-Imām al-Qurtubi [may Allāh have mercy on him] Translation: Authentic Quotes

Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه: “Verily, Allāh gives wealth to whom He loves and whom He does not loves, but He does not give Imān except to whom He loves!” [Az-Zuhd Li Ibn Abī Dunyā: 149]

Imām Abu Hanifa رحمه الله said: And Allāh is invoked from above not from below; for 'below' is not among the attributes of Al-Rubūbiyyah (Lordship) or Al-Ulūhiyyah (Divinity) in any way." [Al Fiqh al Absat of Imam Abu Hanifa page 51]

Al Awzaa'i said:"Learn truthfulness before you learn knowledge." [الجامع الخطيب البغدادي ١/٣٠٤]

‎قال ابن القيم رحمه الله: ‎النفس كالعدو إن عرفت صولة الجد منك استأسرت لك، وإن أنست عنك المهانة أسرتك Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Your soul is just like your enemy, once it finds you serious, it obeys you. If it finds weakness from you, it will take you as a prisoner." ‎ {بدائع الفوائد ٣/١٢٠٢}

واعلم أن البركة في الشام تشمل البركة في أمور الدين والدنيا، ولهذا سميت: الأرض المقدسة "It should be understood that the blessing in ash-Shaam includes blessing in both religious and worldly matters. Hence the land is called holy." Majmū‘ah Rasā’il Ibn Rajab (3/224).

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عليه reported: RasūlAllāh ﷺ said, “Call upon Allāh with certainty that He will answer you. Know that Allāh will not answer the supplication of an unmindful and distracted heart.” 📚 Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3479

Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عليه reported: RasūlAllāh ﷺ said, “Know that there is much good in being patient with what you detest, victory will come with patience, relief will come with affliction, and ‘with the hardship will come an ease.’” (94:5) -Musnad Aḥmad 2803

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله): Listening to the Qur’ān is the means to obtaining Mercy from Allāh. [al-Istiqamah, pg. 284]

Imām Shafi’i رحمه الله said: “Conceal your hardship so much so the people presume you are blessed and have an easy life.” [Manaqib ash-Shafi’i, 2/188]

Imām Shafi’i رحمه الله said: “If you find a Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, follow it and don’t care about anyone else.” -Dhim al-Kalam 393

Imām ash-Shāfi'ī رحمه الله: “Knowledge is not that which is memorised, knowledge is that which benefits.” [ سير أعلام النبلاء ٢\٨٥٣]

‘Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه: “If anyone of you knew what there is in saying to his brother; 'JazākAllāhu Khayran’ you would (say it) to each other a lot.” [رواه إبن أبي الشيبة ١\٤٣٦]

وَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ ثَلاثٌ مَنْ جَمَعَهُنَّ فَقَدْ جَمَعَ الإِيمَانَ الإِنْصَافُ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ وَبَذْلُ السَّلامِ لِلْعَالَمِ وَالإِنْفَاقُ مِنَ الإِقْتَارِ 'Ammār said: Three things, whoever combines them has combined faith: 🔹 Justice from yourself, 🔹offering Salām to the world, 🔹and spending in poverty. (Taghlīq Al-Ta'līq vol 2 pg.36)

خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ "The best of you are those who learn the Qur'ān and teach it." Saḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5027,
