I've tinkered some more and come up with a few more takes on the shading. I'll probably still land on the painterly look like the source image but it's been fun to just mess around with the brushes and see how i can create different looks

I think one of the saddest thing about the #MTG Vivi ban being held for so long, is it created a situation where Vivi, an absolutely incredible character from an amazing game, has been reduced to a card design that shouldn't have been made, and people can't wait to get rid of.

It's a shame that the bans and restrictions announcement talks and addresses problems caused by specific cards, but none of the systemic issues having an increased standard card pool has done "It was fine in the testing environment" is not a good answer when it has to exist in 3 years of new prints
