Beauty and the Beast is the greatest Disney animated movie of all time. It's the GOAT. The Lion King is an all time great, but Beauty is the top of the mountaintop. Belle and Beast should knock Simba and company off with ease.

Which should I choose to lose to Beauty and the Beast? The one that kicked off the Second Golden Age of Disney Animation or one of the enviable high points of said Golden Age? I voted for the Lion King. Simba and company send Ariel and company to the bottom of the sea.

This scene is, IMHO, the best scene of any animated movie ever. Beauty and the Beast wins this matchup over another classic.

The Lion King should maul Mulan easily. Simba and company is one of the best of the Second Golden Age. Plus, you can't make Detroit Lions never making it to the Super Bowl using screenshots from Mulan

Such a lovely movie. Between this, L.A. Confidential before and 8 Mile and In Her Shoes afterwards, Curtis Hanson had one hell of a four film run. I was so glad when this came out on Blu-ray. Now if a boutique label could license it from Paramount and release it in 4K, that would be great, mmkay!
