The amount of people I have known who try to pass off extensive and expensive training as raw talent and unguided practice is baffling. There are many ‘feral’ talents who are uniquely privileged in that they could afford and focus on professional training in adjacent fields.

And into the final blocking to straighten the nearly 9ft shoulder edge. 40+ hours of work, approx 1770 yards of yarn. But ready for autumn when it gets here.

I have discovered decorating the Hobbit home.

Joined a book club. Looking for a tai chi group. Looking into other local groups. Possibly a dog.

Making shawls. Next one will be bigger.

Took 20 years and a good therapist to get me accepting that there was nothing wrong with writing down or processing my failing mental health in journals and under otherwise anonymous media. That venting in a manner I best associated with was a normal, healthy, coping strategy I needed at the time.
