Oof, when Yoshi-P entered the San d'Oria zone during the Live Letter and the Ronfaure theme played. Totally hit my nostalgia... Though odd they didn't use the city theme. Still, I love the Ronfaure field theme, so I don't mind. 😝

Random thought: A typical Borg Cube is 3km x 3km x 3km. The two SoCal Disneyland parks combined are roughly, without some of the backlot areas, 0.75km x 1.5km. That means you can fit eight sets of parks on one side of a Borg Cube. Does that make the Cube big, or the parks small? 🤔

My sister and I went to the Fan Fest Night at Universal Studios Hollywood yesterday. That was quite a lot of fun! And the themed experiences were quite well done considering the event is a limited time only thing.

The FFXIV x FFXVI crossover event was fun! I'm really glad all the rewards were given from the quest (or purchasable afterwards with MGP). I would have been sad if the Torgal mount was gated behind an EX grind. 😂

One of my artist friends has been pestering me to let him draw a fat version of Kai. I only relented if it was in a chibi art style. Have to admit, it came out pretty cute! Defined abs are still life, though. 😝 Happy New Year everyone!

That reminds me, I really need to play Yuffie's story in Intergrade. It's been sitting in my library for the past few months. 😂

So I did it! Almost two weeks since I started playing, I finally hit 99 on samurai. That said, we looked at what endgame looks like in FFXI, and we both agreed to just finish the story. We already have one MMO to grind in! Not to mention all the games coming out in the next several months. 😂

That's right, Maat! For all those times you kicked my ass when I was by myself. I am back, and I have friends! NPC AI friends, but still friends who will let me whoop your ass in return!

Progress in FFXI is being made. Hit level 50 and needed to do the first limit break quest. While doing it, I realized a key reason why things are much easier: a complete wiki. I would have killed to have such detailed guides 20 years ago! Well, that and all the game changes. 😂

The first run to Jeuno 20 years ago was so moving I was in tears. The elegant architecture, the iconic music, really hit me. This second "first time" was more of a surprise. "Wow, that was a lot easier," was all I thought. 😂

FFXI Update: After a day spent doing nothing but setting up, I've been playing in spurts (work permitting). It's much the same as I remember, but also different. The fact that I reached level 18 today in a few days rather than a week or so (mostly spent LFG) is a big change!

Watching Mr. Happy's guide on installing FFXI brought the PTSD back. I don't think I can suffer through that ever again... 😂

Figured my first post on Bluesky will be my excitement for my current MMO obsession intersecting with a past MMO obsession. It will be glorious!
