Stupid flip cards... I hate mainboard dual-faced cards in physical card games, but these two are too important to the ATLA limited environment to exclude from my cube. I'm going to use helper cards to represent them so players don't have to keep unsleeving and flipping them, but it's still annoying.

I'm reconsidering whether or not I want to make my ATLA cube singleton. I feel like the ratios might be better if I have two of each common instead and bump it up from 360 to 480 cards. That'd also leave more room for the color-fixing lands.

Got these sealed products for my ATLA cube. The Beginner Box is predetermined, but I pulled pretty well from the Jumpstart boxes, so I only had to order a handful of singles online to supplement them. As soon as those singles arrive, I should be able to complete the cube!

Went to the usual Wednesday night Gundam locals. There were 10 players there tonight, and both Hatsu and I were running blue/white Freedom Rebuild, as usual. Won the first round against blue/white Aerial; this player was pretty new and running some bad cards, I assume due to budget limitations.

Went to one last MTG prerelease for the ATLA set tonight at the card shop where we usually play Gundam on Thursday nights with Hatsu and our Wing Zero friend, and one of our other mahjong/MTG friends also joined us for this one. Despite being the Sunday afternoon event, there were 25 players.

Went to another MTG prerelease for the ATLA set today. I went with three of my old TCG friends, and there ended up being 10 players total for the event. I chose the Aang prerelease kit this time despite the uncommon Aang not being that impressive. My sealed pool was better than yesterday's at least.

Went to a MTG prerelease for the new Avatar: The Last Airbender set with Hatsu and our Wing Zero friend. There were only 6 players total since we went to a smaller card shop. I picked the Katara prerelease kit since I think the uncommon Katara is pretty good, but I didn't pull much good in my pool.

I spent today curating a list for a singleton MTG cube for the new ATLA set using both the main set and the Jumpstart cards. Now it'll just be a matter of collecting all of the cards for it, haha. I'll be attending a few prereleases this weekend, and then I'll probably buy singles after a bit.

I'm excited for the MTG ATLA set, but I do feel weird about putting most of the cards I've seen so far into my existing decks. I think it's because it's an IP I actually have a connection to, so it just feels out of place that an ATLA card will be in my Finneas deck or something.

Went to two small Gundam locals today. The first was at the LGS I normally go to MTG prereleases for, and there was only 3 players, so we just did a round-robin tournament. I was on blue/white Freedom Rebuild as usual, and I won against both blue/white Unicorn Tempo and purple/white Zeta/AEUG.

Went to one last GD02 Dual Impact release event. This one was at the LGS I used to go to on Thursdays. There were 20 players there, and the format was sealed, 3 rounds, and prizing was one pack per win. My pool wasn't great, but I did pull three Blockers, which is pretty significant in limited.

The full set list for GD02 dropped this morning, and I've been looking it over bit by bit throughout the day. A lot of these card designs are neat, but nothing seems so crazy that I feel the need to get the cards right away. Like, they're good new tools for existing decks or brand new archetypes

Apparently one of the regulars at the Gundam locals changed their BandaiTCG+ app display name to "#1 amuro hater". Honestly, valid, haha. It's making me consider changing my name on there to some sort of meme, perhaps "Battle Assault 3 Featuring Gundam SEED any% speedrun world record holder", haha.

Just finished watching Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, the direct sequel to the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam. It was... not good. I tolerated it enough to watch it through to the end, which is more than I can say of other series, but it suffered from being a usual Gundam anime.

A friend kind of invited me to play some Commander at the con yesterday evening, so I did go and do that for a few games, including one with a third player who asked to join. I also got to play a total of three hanchan on the autotable between last night and this afternoon, which was alright.

Was at AFC for 3 hours today, and about 1 hour of that was waiting to register. I spent the rest of the time in the tabletop area watching a group of relatively experienced players play a hanchan on an autotable. After they disbanded, there wasn't much for me to do, so I just went home for lunch.
