Actually went to a second Gundam Iron Bloom starter deck event. It was at the same card shop as the one on Friday. As I suspected, there were far less people there, likely because everyone had already gotten enough starter decks over the weekend at other events. It was run the same way as last time.

Just finished watching Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, the direct sequel to the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam. It was... not good. I tolerated it enough to watch it through to the end, which is more than I can say of other series, but it suffered from being a usual Gundam anime.

Went to a Gundam starter deck event for Iron Bloom tonight at the card shop with the hands-off owner. Everyone got one of the new starter deck and just played three rounds with them. These events were definitely designed for waves of starter decks and not individual ones, but it's whatever I guess.

Tried out a new card shop for Gundam locals tonight. This one was a bit farther from me, but it was closer to my two friends who were also in attendance tonight. There were 19 players total, and I was on blue/white Freedom Rebuild as usual. Won the first round against blue/white tempo pretty easily.

A friend kind of invited me to play some Commander at the con yesterday evening, so I did go and do that for a few games, including one with a third player who asked to join. I also got to play a total of three hanchan on the autotable between last night and this afternoon, which was alright.

Was at AFC for 3 hours today, and about 1 hour of that was waiting to register. I spent the rest of the time in the tabletop area watching a group of relatively experienced players play a hanchan on an autotable. After they disbanded, there wasn't much for me to do, so I just went home for lunch.

Managed to go to the Newtype Challenge tonight. I was playing my blue/white control deck, which I've decided to call Freedom Rebuild since those are the top-end Units. There ended up being only 38 players, which was surprising, but also a relief, since that meant we only had to play five rounds.

Assuming I don't get stuck at work, I'm planning on going to Newtype Challenges tonight and tomorrow night. I don't particularly care about the promos since they're all from Witch from Mercury (which is weird since they aren't even Newtypes...), but they'd be nice to have if I can get them.

I was telling some friends that I'd been going X-1 at all of the Gundam locals Iast week and they seemed really impressed. I didn't think much of it, but I guess I'm a TCG player with years of competitive experience, so going X-1 at locals isn't a big deal for me, haha.

Went to another MTG draft at the new LGS tonight. They were able to get some Edge of Eternities packs in stock, so we drafted that tonight. More players also showed up, and we had a total of 9 players in the draft pod.

I looked through all of the Gundam Card Game cards and watched some more gameplay today. It kind of reminds me of Duel Masters with how it's mostly a game of tempo. I'm interested enough to dive in since the game is so new and there's a lot to explore and discover, but the price is still an issue.

I've been wanting to play a competitive card game again, but it feels like there are no good options. The only 60-card format I'd want to play for MTG is Pauper, but that doesn't really exist in paper. I was also looking at the Gundam Card Game again, but the cards are rather expensive.

There were only 4 players, so we did the new "Pick-Two Draft." I didn't pull any bombs at all, so my deck had absolute no top end.

Tried to go to Commander Night at the usual LGS (the one I go to for prereleases and used to play Edison at).
