Labour gave them the most fiscally conservative chancellor of the last decade, they still use the same line. Labour needs to tax and borrow to save the country. I would say do it even if it means being a one term goverment but in reality this is the only thing that would get us re-elected.

Bezos and Sánchez off to pick up climate award on yacht that all by itself has the annual carbon footprint as 1,250 Europeans or 72,000 Africans, all for work on the Bezos Climate Fund that aimed to be self-serving for Amazon but ended up not even doing that.

I write about this stuff so I am often interested in events my side finds, erm, disagreeable, but my god they are getting so boring.

I’m in the Big Issue: on IPPR’s new Decade of National Renewal programme, and the need for progressive parties to engage with their populist enemies not as managers of the status quo, but in a fight about fundamental beliefs and ideas.

Keir Starmer's honeymoon was non-existent. Across the world, progressive parties face the same search for new answers.

ARC and its adjacent ideological bubbles include people with good intentions, good ideas even. But when the “movement” it builds points towards supporting a political force that supports authoritarianism you have to ask, is “killing the woke mind virus” worth the rise of fascism?
