Managed #UnconfinedWalks without shin splints. Legs felt heavy but it was lovely to be out. The air smells of damp earth, wood smoke and growing. Celandines, vinca and daffodils. The lower quarry path is flooded and one of the higher paths is closed due to a landslip.

Haven't been able to do #UnconfinedWalks for the last 10 days or so due to shin splints. Risked a 40 minute pavement loop and no ill effects. Nothing nice to photograph so instead some views from the garden. The farmer has reduced the height of the hedge so we've got the view back! 🤩

Can I please have a vent? I'm signed up to an online course, starting Thursday. I was excited. Today I was sent the instructions for setting up my student account. 17 steps. I failed on step 2 because when I click on the link, the screen is nothing like depicted. I feel old, stupid and fed up.

Lovely morning spending an hour on the #BigBirdWatch where the birds performed admirably for once. Then #UnconfinedWalks to the Rugby worthies and back along the canal. Found the traces of a Holly Leaf miner (small fly). Things are growing, birds are pairing up and squabbling. All good.

#UnconfinedWalks happened in the cold mizzle. I went to look at a fence. It's party, party, party round here! Slightly enlivened by the sign on the towpath.
