Caturday is busy for kleptocat he fell asleep on his scratcher after dinner. slept in then looked through our seeds and put some in little pots and others we planted in some raised beds we have out back. Scary Larry is prepping the yard for native plants in the next few weeks. Alt text for 😆

it’s Good Friday, we got early dismissal for some reason but I’m not complaining bc I’ve peopled enough this week. What’s everyone’s plans for this wknd? I don’t usually get a lot of engagement but figure I’d try. I’m doing some work in my garden getting seeds planted and hanging w my cats.

Yall my lilac is starting to bloom, some of my tuilips got moved by squirrels I’m guessing and it’s about to smell wonderful in my front yard. My young backyard lilac survived transplant last year. Thank you for you attention to this spring awakening

Got a quick panic attack free run in dodging tourists to see our spring attractions here and then came a Upon a new art installation on the other end of the mall. I missed the toilet one and hope it’s still up Friday

It’s a catio and chill kinda day. They’ve been checking out the plants I got at the native plant sale at the arboretum yesterday. Still a little cold to plant in ground. Need to repot a few of the plugs still. trying to summon energy to do more chores outside but my helper is nowhere to be found

Caturday with outdoor friends. one of our friendly strays showed up wanting snacks and assisting with some outdoor chores. Have confirmed the belly is a trap but it’s so soft. wasn’t warm enough to plant new things today. Lots of cuddling with indoor crew happened.

Got outside for a quick run after work… my flowers are blooming & I keep getting a cute solicitor coming to my yard lately.

marathon training has been a real struggle bc of all sorts of things pulling my focus and making running seem like just another chore I have to complete. I’m giving myself 2 more wknds to decide to cancel a May race. Ran 12 miles Friday and 5k at the arboretum today. Beautiful day, ran on vibes

We had lead pipes replaced today & they were in our house WAY more than we thought… the cats were scared of all the noise but as soon as the coast was clear one watched birds, the other was running around screaming and the 3rd fell asleep under a blanket & snored for 20mins

Spent the afternoon hiding from the crazy storm. waiting to see if we get another round tonight

This is going to be a fun day/night with these storms. Headed home to secure things and get water & food for outdoor cats to weather things out in their houses and cubby

It’s caturday; the human has been a lazy biatch all day… but the chonky void got to go outside and help count fence boards to replace and inspect flowers we planted last year. Made a list of native plants to pick up this year and volunteering for the arboretum sale. Take time to smell the 💐

It’s been a long week and I’ve only worked 2 days… we are ready for the weekend. cats are glad it’s cooler today so they can snuggle. Also, this face always makes my day better & his weird chunky goofy feet

It was a very mentally draining weekend that I took an additional day off work to just allow my brain to settle. I got to sit outside in the beautiful weather to read on my hanging chair with my outdoor kitties.

The voids were out inspecting the bqckyard and checking to see what plants are starting to come back. We are making our list of things to purchase at the next arboretum sale.

It’s caturday. I had the day off yesterday getting a rain barrel installed and spent the rest of the day putting together a metal raised bed to use as the new composting area. The outdoor cats napped then inspected everything. Indoor crew is enjoying me being around. Spring is slowly showing up

Outdoor kitties really enjoyed the weather this wknd and are hating the snow today. Thinking warm thoughts for them. Also one of them always looks at me like he wants to send me on a dangerous quest. Can’t wait for it to be warmer & light longer so I can build them stuff

the flowers are starting! Crocus are coming up, tulips are starting, the iris have doubled and some mystery plants I forget what I planted and thought died are coming up! My lilac is showing some buds Need to deadhead all the things in the next 2 wks.

So the city is doing lead pipe inspections & apparently the street & my yard have lead pipes ( after they about dig to the core of the earth to find it). Now I wait for them to schedule replacement🫠😩 Silver lining: they’re digging everything up again and it’s removed all the yard fabric

Sunday is chore day; while they napped I cleaned the basement and their litter robot which has been a menace lately & I’ve been yelled at about it daily. They tried to convince me to nap in the couch unsuccessfully. Now we are taking a break to read and enjoy pretty flowers I got this am

It’s caturday and my lazy ass finally ran on the treadmill after a few weeks of mental/physical exhaustion. My stretching coach was there as soon as I was done to be sure I did it properly then my other 2 coaches decided an afternoon nap was the perfect thing to do

These 2 used to run in different circles of the 20 cats I used to care for but as the remaining 2/3 they’ve become buddies and it just warms my heart.

Someone thought I bought him sale Valentine’s Day flowers since he was being so helpful with chores today… He is a cute menace though

everyone is glad I’m back and they can get snacks on a more regular basis. We are all over this brutal cold and the snowcrete that is still here after 2 weeks. Hoping it’ll thaw out this week but anticipating some flooding. We all can’t wait for spring chores & planting

‘‘Twas a fun walk to the metro this am to get to work for a meeting bc they gave us a 1 hr delay when even plow trucks are still getting stuck in parts of the city bc this is snow w a thick layer of ice on top, it does not budge

It’s not just snow here we had sleet and it created an icy mess.. spent about half the day on & off shoveling and digging out the car. Took Kleptocat outside in his winter attire. We did a spa day tonight for everyone; claws trimmed, toe beans moisturized and snacks

Cozy cubby day. It’s still sleeting and I disturbed them earlier this morning digging out their houses only to have now the same amount of heavy sleet. I dug out the one house a little more. Everyone got room service tonight and there’s 2 heated dishes w food or water under a little shelter

Busy prepping for the storm outside. Outdoor kitties have the cubby sealed up from rats. Everyone is enjoying extra food in the heated dish today in case they’re hiding tmrw when it’s snowy. have the safe paws salt and shovel ready to give them paths. Birds are fed Now we are prepping inside.

it’s been a rough week but I’m here to share a funny video. The outdoor kitties have a cubby they haven’t used in a few days, I noticed some visitors: 2 other cats 1 that I’ve never seen before, a rat trying to steal bedding and now who I am referring to as Goldilocks and the 5 beds.

Outside stray kitty named after a character in hocus pocus just walked in my house when I was getting an extra plate for him. He enjoyed his dinner, sniffed around then went back to the door and scooted on his merry way. No clue if he has home or got tossed from one but was fine inside 🤷🏼‍♀️

when it’s Monday again…

This guy got a new button this week, actually 2, he’s been so excited to try them out. But then he’s been all about hitting the “play” button in the middle of the night. we now have “bedtime” and “breakfast”

Me trying to work on my performance eval… without saying “you fired everyone and now we are all doing 5 jobs” and this was not on my job description/above my pay grade…. Especially if we what we heard about the new process is true..

This little well dressed man has been busy on the buttons this week. It’s been play but last night a different button. He goes back & forth about using them. I can add 4 more words but haven’t yet. He’s so smart some days and completely brainless the next.

There’s a lot of bad news early this year but I want to share some good news. 2/3 of my outdoor crew ( minus my 2 strays that come by every so often) are using the new beds. I caught the one making biscuits in her bed the other day and the other bathing. I love them so much

Our NYE IS SOL LIT YALL… we are listening to Celtic music while reading and the cats are snoozing. It’s the purrfect evening. Up early to check on other peoples’ cats and hopefully make it for a 5k. then a 4day wknd is afoot

2 wks ago I cleared out a cubby space under my side porch and put in new straw and a few different types of self heating beds & mats for my outdoor kitties. Today I finally put the cubby cam up and I’ve caught 2 of them in there so far. I’m glad to say that QC void was correct about best bed

had energy but no will to do anything so we watched the TS eras tour documentary while I had cats snoozing on me. Kleptocat got stuck in the gingerbread box. No clue if he did it on purpose like he does when he shuts unsuspecting victims in the spare room or if by accident.. he got out safely

This is his scratcher and he lives there now. Chonky void tried to lay on it earlier when he got up and then he came over and bit her & smacked her head until she left that post. He has now hoarded all the toys like a dragon and is watching holiday movies while I’m checking on more cats

This time last year outdoor sassy kitty was inside with us, I had been syringe feeding her bc she couldn’t eat on her own. I thought she was on deaths door Now a year later she hanging out w skellies in 55 deg weather and getting extra snacks. She’s 12 & nothing slows her down.

tiny void was enjoying a cozy little cave bed last night. we got from someone that used to foster w the same rescue. we got a few things for our outdoor crew but she decided that this one is hers ( we have another). She’s 11 and doesn’t usually go for a bed so happy solstice to her.

Never again will I work both my FT and PT job at full capacity… I usually take the last 2 weeks off to pet sit but I didn’t this year and man am I regretting that so bad. I’m pulling a 14hr day today…same tmrw

We decided to do a “hot ones” style challenge at work in the new year for something fun to do. Can anyone recommend some sauces to try out for it that aren’t super expensive? Ideally I think we want to have 5-6. Everyone is supposed to bring their own sauce & preferred chicken/chicken substitute
