I am not a fan of the original, notorious mondo pseudo-snuff flick, but this a clever, timely meta-commentary on the popularity of the first film, dovetailing with the bloodthirsty voyeurism rampant on social media these days. A contemporary classic.

Brutal, raw, uncompromising, devastating. One of the the MCU’s finest hours. Literally.

Though I prefer "Oddity," this is a solid scarefest from Damian McCarthy, skillfully blending witchcraft folk horror and classic haunted house tropes for an atmospheric thrill-kill-chill ride

Long fuse. Slow burn. Then...BAM! A neo-grindhouse/old school style blaxploitation classic BLOWS UP, MOTHERF***ERS! This isn't your typical popcorn action flick. It's heavy stuff and it leaves you with mixed feelings. Just the way it used to be before the homogenization of Hollywood. Right ON, Rza!
