The Douglas Drive Day Centre picnic was a lovely way to spend some of the last sunny Stevenage weekend ☀️ Hampson Park is always a beautiful place for family events, and I was delighted to win a few prizes from the tombola 🎁 Community spirit on show this summer!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to HC-One’s Woodlands View Care Home in Stevenage today 🏠 It was lovely to meet residents there and tour the facilities - which are so well thought out and designed 🙌 I also want to highlight how incredible all of the staff were 👏

Today’s Spending Review is a big boost for the defence and life sciences sectors, two industries our town is an international leader in 📈 I’m glad the Chancellor recognises first hand that there are huge opportunities for growth, jobs, skills and more right here in Stevenage 🏘️

The Chancellor name checked Stevenage as one of the places she is relying on to help Britain become a defence industrial superpower 🇬🇧 Stevenage’s defence businesses have a critical role to play in delivering the £6 billion investment into weaponry, munitions and defence 💪

The Conservatives wasted billions of pounds of your money to house asylum seekers in hotels 👎 Labour WILL end this as we promised in our manifesto ✅ The Chancellor confirmed today that: “We will be ending the costly use of hotels to house asylum seekers in this Parliament” 🗣️

It was an honour to join our local Muslim community at the 2nd annual Eid-Al-Adha Festival 🙌 The collaboration between Stevenage Muslim Community Centre, Stevenage Borough Council and Stevenage Police made this event a real success 👏 Eid Al Adha Mubarak!

There were fully packed pews for a beautiful service conducted by Rev Canon Jenny Gray for her last time as rector for Aston and neighbouring parishes 🙌 A big thank you to Jenny for such dedicated service and care for the community. Here’s to a deserved and happy retirement 👏
