This is our resident redtail hawk that comes and watches us work from its perch every morning. It’s about time we think of a name for it. I’d rather the hawks control the vole population bc when I find a nest, I do the opposite of what you’re supposed to do and look the other way.

It’s the most wonderful time of the yeaaarr🌻🪻🌼🌸🌹 I didn’t even plant those spider flowers. All of them re-seeded from last year. As well as the coreopsis, a few cosmos, bachelors button, and even some scabiosa. Snap dragons are still going strong. Japanese beetles have discovered the zinnias🥲

The great ranunculus experiment went off without a hitch! Overall I’m happy with the 3-4 bunches I’ve picked so far. Though I ordered 4 different varieties (one color mix), they all ended up being multicolored anyway. No wonder the corms were on sale!
