It was 52 years ago today that Eileen Dailly, provincial Minister of Education, visited Abbotsford to formally announce the creation of Fraser Valley College. Since then, we've been FVC, UCFV (in 1991), and UFV (since being named a regional university in 2008). Happy anniversary to UFV!

Dr. Peter Jones, who served as UFV's third president from 1987 to 1997, passed away peacefully on March 10. Peter came to what was then Fraser Valley College in 1987, and led a successful campaign to achieve university-college status in 1990/91. Read more: https://ow.ly/50Ao50YzrEs
