Lunch…seafood boil in a bag, Dungeness crab, lobster tail, shrimp, clams, mussels and the usual, corn, baby potatoes and smoked sausage.

Second day of very foggy start to the day….do weather as usual in the valley…

Started a new batch of basturma, something like Turkish sujuk, a beef and lamb mixture, heavy on the garlic spiced with my own baharat mix, salt and pepper and a bit of red wine. After pressing them for a few days, they will hang till dry, maybe a couple of weeks.

Giblets and necks stock on….I also gave some in the oven to get that browning effect…

Dinner…Iraqi kubba burghul…the shell is a mix of burghul, semolina (jareesh) and ground beef, I process it to make the shell, stuffing is ground beef and lots of onions, cooked. This kubba is boiled in salt water…

Lunch today picanha roast (I found it in my local Safeway) sandwiches, sautéed onion and pepper, chimichurri sauce and heirloom tomato….

Today I scored Dungeness crabs at Costco, they had a great deal on it and finally crab season is open, hopefully we get plenty and prices will be lower this year…first time in 10 months, oven baked with garlic butter, red pepper flakes, thyme, lemon zest snd juice and white wine…

Dinner today, leftover leg of lamb making its second appearance as shawarma, I have it hear as an open face sandwich on naan with tahini, tzatziki, micro arugula, tomato, turnip pickles and of course the lamb…

Today I made some kubbah for the freezer, the shell is a mix of bulgur, jareesh (fine cracked wheat), ground beef, onion, cumin and salt. Stuffed with ground beef. It’s boiled not fried….

Dinner, air fried lemon pepper chicken with pomegranate rice and a romaine, cucumber, tomato salad with a simple lemon, olive oil dressing….

Dinner tonight, Mexican…I made a burrito, steak, onions, yellow pepper, Spanish rice and black beans…guacamole and salsa….

Dinner, the last of my frozen ribeyes, I bought these just before July 4 at a sale price of $6.99, a dream these days with the price hovering around $24.99…

Today’s dinner Musakhan, roasted chicken (I cheated with a Costco chicken) olive oil (lots), onions (lots), pine nuts (you guessed it, lots) over bread, in this case tortillas with a Mediterranean salad…
