It’s official: Washington vs. Louisville in the Sun Bowl. 11 a.m. PT kickoff on Dec. 31 in El Paso. CBS has the broadcast. It will be the Huskies’ first ever game against Louisville, and first appearance in the Sun Bowl since 2002, a 34-24 loss to Purdue.

Nine sacks for Oregon now. The third quarter is almost over.

Washington gets as far as Oregon's 36 on its first possession of the second half ... but Demond Williams took three sacks on the drive, including on the last two plays, and the Huskies punt into the end zone. Oregon with 7 sacks now.

Halftime: Oregon 28, Washington 14. Stats:

Gutsy drive by Demond Williams and the Huskies, as they convert 3rd-and-7 and 3rd-and-11, and Jonah Coleman punches it in from 1 yard out for UW's first touchdown of the night. 2-point try is good (Williams to Boston). Oregon's lead is 28-14 with 0:51 left in the first half.

Oregon needs only 3 plays to cover 45 yards for another touchdown. Ducks running away with this one, now up 28-6 with 5:01 left in the first half.

All day for Dillon Gabriel to find Traeshon Holden, who is ruled out inside the 1 after a 39-yard gain. Jordan James punches it in on the next play. Quick answer by Oregon, and the Ducks take a 14-6 lead with 8:13 left in the first half.

Whole lot of negatives for UW's offense so far. Ducks get two sacks on that series, the Huskies net zero yards and Grady Gross knocks through a 41-yard field goal. Oregon's lead is 7-6 with 9:44 left in the first half.

A couple runs by Williams move the chains, but a first-down sack kills the drive. Not a lot happening for UW down the field, outside of that first throw to Hunter. Huskies set to punt after the quarter break, Oregon leading 7-3.

This Oregon possession is a bit different, as a third-down drop leads to a three-and-out and a punt into the end zone.

Washington drives to Oregon's 8-yard line but settles for Grady Gross' 26-yard field goal to make it 7-3. Saw what makes Demond Williams different on that drive — a nice throw on the first play, and a 9-yard keeper to convert a third down — but drive stalled after a 3-yard loss.

Oregon gains 4, 7, 8, 16, 9, 10, 7, 6 and 9 yards on its opening drive, capped by Noah Whittington's 9-yard touchdown run. No third downs. Easy. Ducks lead 7-0 with 10:35 left in the first quarter.
