It's getting harder and harder to really understand the constant negativity surrounding the Switch 2 at this point for me. Yeah things are expensive but as far as games go and support from both first party and third party I think things have been stellar for year 1.

Hey if you think games being more inclusive and having more options for people is a bad thing then I think you're pretty silly for thinking so.

If you haven't heard of Vital Shell you should check it out. It's like a mix of Vampire Survivors, Robotron, and Geometry Wars all wrapped in an amazing PS1 aesthetic complete with silly low quality CG cutscenes.

I genuinely miss mii's being more prominent in Nintendo games. It's nice we get things like Tomodachi Life still.

Reading through this is really discouraging. Nintendo had been uncharacteristically open to allowing all sorts of content on the Switch but that seems to have changed and far more than what I consider reasonable. These games have ratings for a reason. There are parental controls for a reason.

Found my copies of Nintendo Power that had previews for Dragon Hopper and Zero Racers. Surreal to see they will finally come out.

Putting out previously unreleased games is one of the coolest things ever for the Nintendo Switch Classics Virtual Boy stuff. It was awesome with Star Fox 2 on super Nintendo but that had been previously leaked. Zero Racers and D Hoppers have never made it out there. Genuinely floored.

The Nintendo Year in Review having data for literally every game you've ever played on Switch is amazing. Anyway this was a great year.

I played Path of Radiance for the first time ever last year and it has one of the most nuanced and interesting stories in any Nintendo game. Covers some really serious topics and themes. Such an amazing game. This and Radiant Dawn.

I've never really been into achievements on any platform. I usually don't think they add much to my experience. But I've been getting into RetroAchievements lately and at least for some games they are bringing new life into older games I usually wouldn't play. Proud of mastering Tetris on the NES.

In 2026 wizzy is looking for video editing work! I can do video essays, shorts, narration, podcasts, audio mixing, talking head video and more. While most of my experience is in gaming I'm open to anything. My style is detail oriented to let the voice of a piece sing without distraction.
