So I finally looked at the game awards nominees. It is an actual crime that Mario Kart World did not get at least nominated for best music/score. Like actually baffling with the quality and quantity of music in that game. There's literally over 7 hours of original or newly arranged music. Crazy.

Finally got the Polymega light gun after a long time. Really excited to finally play some of my light gun games on a modern tv!

Am I crazy or are there just an insane amount of great games that have come out in the last couple months or are coming out in the next couple couple months? Like I can't keep up but there's so much I want to play. I don't remember the last few years being this nuts.

Ok yeah not a fan of hearing about you saving a bunch of galactic federation troopers and teaming up with them on your journey in Prime 4. Maybe it'll be fine but just doesn't sound like something that should be in a Metroid game.

If any first party game was going to be a game key card it was going to be from The Pokemon Company. They would do anything for some more profit.

I had a dream last night that Naughty Dog made a Plankton game for the PS2. Yes like Plankton from SpongeBob. And now I can't stop thinking about it.

I beat Stray Children last night. It is genuinely special. We don't get games like it too often. Easily one of the best games I've played all year. I'm so happy it exists. Also hey look that's me!!

This is why I think ignoring Game Key Cards completely is not the move. If you end up just buying digitally just because you don't like the idea of Game Key Cards data like this starts to crop up and publishers will use it to say "hey, nobody is buying physical anymore, it's not worth it".

Stray Children is so good y'all. It's even better if you've played Moon Remix RPG before. I also found the characters (maybe in multiple spots??) that were given my voice hehe. So fun. Beware of the Olders.

PS2 is easily one of the greatest consoles of all time. So many incredible games and there was still tons of experimentation in the industry with weird and unique games. It's always a toss up between whether I prefer the PS1 or PS2 but really they are both unbelievable. Happy 25 years PS2!

I think I'm starting to become a Mac person and I don't know how I feel about this.

Maybe I'm easy to please but if Pokemon just looked and ran as good as Z-A going forward I would be happy. Yeah it's not the prettiest game but you're talking about a guy that is fine with PS2 level geometry in high resolution if it the game runs well.

It's so difficult to find just the boxes for loose GB and GBA games but someone on FB Marketplace was selling boxes for a ton of games I had loose. Great price and they are like MINT!! Super happy!

I'm finally starting to run into gaming videos on YouTube that are completely voiced and pretty obviously written by AI and it's really upsetting because they are cool topics Worst part is that some people realize it's AI and comment and the channel owner responds with an AI answer denying it.

After seeing all the videos of the Xbox ROG Ally it really just puts into perspective how impressive the Switch 2 is and also how bad Windows is as a handheld gaming OS.

I recorded a new video for my collection channel. Been a long time since I uploaded anything and wanna get back to doing more stuff at least over on that channel.

My score is mediocre but sometimes you can find gems with lower scores.

Sucks that this got delayed but man it looks so good. Also that track in the middle of the trailer is fire.

There were only 2 things in that State of Play that excited me. Chronoscript and Saros. Definitely excited for both but after a few good State of Plays this one was disappointing. Wolverine looks alright but they're just like "we heard you like blood so we put blood in your blood".

Haven't grabbed anything from Japan in a while but added a couple things to my Love de Lic collection and got one of the greatest peripherals ever.

There were a few games I was surprised we didn't see in the direct. Rhythm Heaven I thought was a shoe in with a possible 120 fps mode on switch 2. Elden Ring is probably delayed to get the performance up to snuff after feedback. And Professor Layton! That was slated for 2025. It'll be at TGS tho

You can add Mario Galaxy 1+2, Mario Tennis Fever, Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book to the Switch 2 side now too. All those games are coming out most likely before the first year of Switch 2 is up. Kinda stacked tbh.

Metroid Prime 4 got a release date. That's all I needed. Except I got way more. So I'm happy. No rhythm heaven news tho. Big L on that one.

The default YouTube search on mobile now is atrocious. I'm glad there's an option to search only by videos but if you don't switch there's just so many shorts that pop up.

So much experimentation, innovation, and willingness to try weird and different things during this era. Playstation and the games industry has lost a lot of that (outside of the indie space). PS1 will always be my favorite Playstation system. PS2 is close but PS1 just felt special.

In the last couple of hours of my trip to Seattle for PAX West I decided to go to a random video game shop and they somehow had some import PS1 games I've been wanting and for cheaper than they go for in Japan even. Such an awesome deal!

Silksong is pretty awesome so far. Playing at 120 fps is amazing but one of the biggest things for me right now that's enhancing my experience is HD Rumble. When devs use it right it feels so good just like the haptics on the dualsense.

I had the chance to play Silksong at PAX West and I said no.
